Bats! One of the best parts of this series is hearing Lazslo yell “bat” as he transforms and flutters away. Throughout the package bats take us on a journey from details of their domestic space to the broader landscape of Staten Island. A dayglow blacklight palette anchors the painterly velvet environments as our tour guides, bats with the heads of the lead characters, take us on a trip through the shadows.
